Interest in operational leasing in the Czech Republic is growing. In recent years, the number of contracts concluded for new vehicles has increased both entrepreneurs and natural persons. Many people, however, use the service for new cars.

In 2024, a new car rented almost 34,000 entrepreneurs, according to the Benes Consulting Group data, almost 106 percent more than in 2021. The individuals concluded 2879 contracts last year, about 71 percent more than three years earlier.

And experts expect the demand for natural persons. “In the last five years, the demand for operational leasing has been growing significantly. The reason is the combination of new cars price (some models have almost doubled the price list) as well as an earlier increase in interest rates. In addition to the price of the car, the value includes other expenditures such as fuel, taxes and insurance or any repairs of the car. “You do not need any cash to buy a car in the form of operational leasing, so it is designed for a much wider range of customers who do not want or may not invest money to buy a car.

Clients can borrow a car for a short time and long -term. “In the past, there was a great interest in the market in very short rental times, we often dealt with 12 or 24 months, it certainly has its advantages, the client has greater flexibility, but usually there were higher installments. Today they are clearly popular times 36 and 48 months. According to the car, the driver pays five to thirty thousand crowns for luxury cars per month.
