Nest Health Launches Home-Based Opioid Addiction Treatment Program
Nest Health is expanding access too opioid addiction treatment with its new Nest Rooted Recovery program. This medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) initiative delivers extensive care—medical,behavioral,and social—directly to families in their homes.
The program integrates addiction treatment with primary care,chronic condition management,mental health services,and social support. Nest Health aims to address the multifaceted needs of individuals struggling with opioid dependence.
Kelsie Brandt, chief clinical officer at Nest Health, expressed pride in the program’s accessibility and compassionate approach. She emphasized the clinical team’s commitment to providing support and fostering recovery within the context of people’s lives.
Nest Rooted Recovery uses evidence-based clinical protocols and best practices from organizations such as ACOG, WHO, SAMHSA, CDC, and NIDA. The program is available both in-home and online.
The program includes in-home clinical assessments to determine the severity of opioid dependence, identify co-occurring substance use, evaluate social determinants of health, and screen for infectious diseases.
Nest Health provides FDA-approved medications, primarily buprenorphine/naloxone, and coordinates with pharmacies to ensure timely access to medications and overdose prevention resources.
Enrolled patients receive ongoing monitoring, frequent check-ins with providers, medication management education, and emergency response training.
To support long-term recovery, Nest Health facilitates transitions to in-person and telehealth support partners.
