Judy and Jim Street have donated a significant gift to the OSU Foundation. This donation establishes a permanent endowment for the Oregon State Wicks-Street Head Men’s Soccer Coach. This is the second head coaching endowment in Oregon State history, joining the Pat Casey Head Baseball Coach position.

Scott Barnes, Oregon State’s Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, expressed gratitude to the Street family for their generous support. He highlighted the impact this endowment will have on student-athletes, enhancing their success both on and off the field.

The endowment will provide ongoing funds for the head men’s soccer coach to support training, travel, and student-athlete well-being. Greg Dalby, the head men’s soccer coach, thanked Judy and Jim for their contribution, stating it would allow more young men to enjoy the benefits of being student-athletes at Oregon State. He emphasized the program’s commitment to competing at a high level and fostering a positive environment for players.

Last season, the Oregon State men’s soccer team made its first appearance in the College Cup and has qualified for postseason play four consecutive years. Under Dalby’s leadership, the team has a record of 21-9-8. They will finish their regular season against Portland.

Judy Street, an Oregon State alumna and honorary trustee, and her husband Jim, a graduate of the University of Michigan, have a long history of supporting Beaver Athletics. They hold season tickets for football and contributed to the Paul Lorenz Field grandstand project. Their support extends to OSU’s College of Engineering, where Judy’s uncle, Charles Wicks, was a notable figure.

Judy Street stated their hope that the gift will help Oregon State men’s soccer attract top student-athletes and coaches. She believes success in athletics enhances all areas of higher education.

Shawn L. Scoville, president and CEO of the OSU Foundation, noted that the Streets’ investment will benefit future generations. He also connected this donation to other recent gifts supporting men’s and women’s basketball, emphasizing the importance of athletics at OSU.

Oregon State Athletics aims to build excellent, authentic, and visionary student-athletes.
