Orlando City SC defeated Charlotte FC 4-1 in an MLS match on Wednesday night at Inter&Co Stadium in Orlando, Florida, snapping a four-game winless streak with goals from Martín Ojeda, Luís Otávio and Ignacio Gómez.

The Lions opened the scoring in the 21st minute when midfielder Luís Otávio struck an outside-the-foot shot from distance off a pass from Zakaria Taifi, marking his first professional goal. Taifi recorded his second career assist on the play.

Charlotte FC responded in the 33rd minute through Morrison Agyemang, who headed home a corner kick taken by Pep Biel to level the match at 1-1. The teams went into halftime tied before Orlando City regained the lead just four minutes into the second half.

Martín Ojeda gave Orlando the lead for good in the 49th minute after Tiago found Justin Ellis, who drove into the box and laid off a ball for Ojeda to strike home on his first touch. Ojeda then added his second goal of the match in the 61st minute from a direct free kick, bending his shot around the wall to beat Kristijan Kahlina at the near post.

The brace marked the second time this season that Ojeda has recorded a multi-goal performance. He had a career-best 31 goal contributions in 2025 with 16 goals and 15 assists, both career highs, and has four goals this season.

Orlando City added a fourth goal in stoppage time as Ignacio Gómez, an Orlando City B midfielder on a short-term agreement through the weekend, scored his first career MLS goal in his second MLS appearance. Gómez finished off a pass from Iván Angulo, who secured his 150th appearance for the club across all competitions in the match.

Maxime Crépeau made four saves for Orlando City in the victory. The win improved Orlando City’s record to 2-6-1 with seven points, while Charlotte FC fell to 4-3-2 with 14 points.

Orlando City will next hit the road to take on D.C. United on Saturday, April 25, at Audi Field for the first of four consecutive road matches. Kickoff on Apple TV is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
