Academy Invites ariana Grande, Jodie Comer, Stephen Graham to Join Ranks

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has extended invitations to 534 new members, including Ariana Grande, Jodie Comer, and Stephen Graham. This year’s list surpasses last year’s 487 invitees as the Academy continues its push for greater diversity and representation within its ranks.The new members will play a key role in shaping the future of the Oscars.
Bill Kramer, Academy CEO, and Janet Yang, Academy president, jointly stated their excitement in welcoming the new class of artists, technologists, and professionals. Thay emphasized the indelible contributions these individuals have made to the global filmmaking community through their dedication to the craft and the broader movie industry. The new members will take on the role of voting for future oscar winners.
Graham’s invitation follows his acclaimed performance in the Netflix drama “Adolescence.” Comer recently starred in the horror sequel “28 Years Later,” while Grande received an Oscar nomination for her supporting role in “Wicked.”
Other notable invitees include Mikey Madison, recent best actress winner, along with her “Anora” co-stars yura Borisov and Karren Karagulian, and the film’s cinematographer, Drew Daniels. Acting nominees Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, and Fernanda Torres, and also directing nominees Brady Corbet and Coralie Fargeat, also received invitations.
