Inter-School Football Competition: Thonburi Assumption College Advances to Defend Championship
The Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports, in collaboration with Corno & Nash Company Limited, a subsidiary of Siam Sport Syndicate Public Company Limited, and main sponsors like Imane, Coca Cola, and Milo, organized the inter-school football competition, Category A, academic year 2024, age group under 14, at the Supacalasai Stadium.
Thonburi Assumption College 2-1 Pitchayabundit School
Assumption College Thonburi, the former champion, topped Group D and defeated Pathumkongka School 6-0 in the round of 8, maintaining a clean sheet record in the tournament. They met Pitchayabundit School, who won the round of 8 in a penalty kick against Bangkok Christian College School.
Despite the rain, Assumption College Thonburi controlled the ball and opened the offensive game. In the 25th minute, Siriwat Wa-iad got the ball from the left side and pulled it into the penalty area, but Keerati Worasat scored for Pitchayabundit School.
Thonburi Assumption College continued to attack, and in the 35th minute, Siriwat Wa-iad converted a free kick before entering the penalty area on the left. However, the ball did not go through Keerati Worasat’s hands, and Pitchayabundit School’s goal was saved by technology.
The first half ended with a 0-0 draw. In the second half, Thonburi Assumption College attacked again, and in the 39th minute, Phiphatphon Jitticaroenwit took the ball to the left end and launched it high into the penalty area, scoring the first goal for Thonburi Assumption College.
In the 43rd minute, Piyapat Maleesaichon scored the second goal for Thonburi Assumption College, leading 2-0. Pitchayabundit School tried to open the fighting game but was not successful. In the 70 + 3 minutes of injury time, Net Tawan Pae Yai scored for Pitchayabundit School, but it was too late, and the referee blew the end of the game.
Thonburi Assumption College defeated Pitchayabundit School 2-1 and advanced to defend their championship.

The final competition program will take place on 24 September 2024 at the Supacalasai Stadium, starting with the 3rd match at 3:00 pm between Suankularb Wittayalai School and Pitchaya Bundit School, and the last match at 5:00 pm between Wat Thong Samrit School and Thonburi Assumption School.
