Former Zetas Cartel leader Extradited to mexico to Face Charges

Tijuana, Mexico – Osiel Cárdenas Guillén, the former leader of the notorious ‌Zetas ​Cartel, was extradited from the ​United States to‌ mexico on Monday, facing a⁣ slew of⁤ charges​ including organized crime, drug trafficking, and money laundering.

Cárdenas ​was handed over ‍to Mexican authorities at the Tijuana border crossing in Baja California. His extradition comes after serving a 25-year ‌sentence‌ in a U.S. federal prison for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana, and also money ​laundering and threatening a federal agent.
