Societe Generale is seeking an OTC and Structured Products Lawyer for its Hong Kong office, with the position advertised as immediately available and published on April 23, 2026.
The role involves providing legal advice and managing transactions related to over-the-counter derivative trades and structured debt issuances across equities, commodities, fixed income, and credit for the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan. Responsibilities also include advising on listed structured products, particularly warrants in Hong Kong and Singapore, and supporting asset management activities for the bank and its clients, including documentation for private funds and exchange-traded funds.
The successful candidate will provide pre-trade, execution, and post-trade legal and regulatory guidance to business teams and other departments. They will also contribute to the development of new products, debt issuance, warrant programmes, and asset management activities through innovative and commercially focused legal support.
the lawyer will participate in creating and implementing strategic tools, especially automation projects aimed at streamlining product documentation and internal processes.
Applicants should have several years of post-qualification experience, with preference given to those from private practice or prior experience at another financial institution. Experience in structured note products, investment funds, and/or derivatives is required.
A Commonwealth or Asian legal qualification—specifically from Singapore or Hong Kong—is preferred. Strong spoken and written English communication skills are essential, and proficiency in Chinese is considered an advantage.
