P. Diddy Faces Life in Prison on Charges of Sex Trafficking and Assault

As of March 17th, Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy, is in pretrial detention and on suicide watch. The renowned rapper faces severe charges, including sex trafficking, sexual assault, violence, rape, extortion, and the use of chemical substances. These alleged incidents are said to have occurred over recent decades.

P. Diddy was arrested in New York on March 15th and is facing nine complaints. According to the indictment released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the rapper allegedly “abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to satisfy his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and cover up his actions.”

Prosecutors claim that some of these incidents were recorded, and the victims were allegedly given drugs such as GHB or ecstasy.

Accused of Using His Empire to Power the Sex Trade P. Diddy has proclaimed his innocence through his attorney, stating that he is “disappointed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office’s decision to continue the unjust prosecution” against him.

This is not the first time P. Diddy has been suspected of sexual violence. In February 2023, his former partner Cassie Ventura accused him of rape, but later withdrew the complaint, and the case was settled. However, in February 2024, a video resurfaced showing P. Diddy beating his girlfriend in a hotel in 2016.

If all charges are brought against P. Diddy, assuming he is found guilty, he faces life in prison.
