MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Agriculture’s (DA) ambitious P20 per kilogram rice initiative, affectionately known as the “Benteng Bigas Meron Na” (BBM Na) programme, has officially expanded its reach, bringing affordable rice to the residents of La Union and Baguio City. This move signifies a crucial step in the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure food security and accessibility for vulnerable sectors of the population.
Program Expansion and Initial Impact
