Packers Sign DL Jeremiah Martin to Practice Squad
Packers Bolster Defensive Line wiht Addition of Jeremiah martin
Green Bay, WI – The Green Bay Packers announced wednesday that they have signed defensive lineman Jeremiah Martin to the practise squad. General Manager Brian Gutekunst made the proclamation.
Martin,a 6-foot-3,265-pound first-year player out of the University of Washington,brings valuable depth to the Packers’ defensive front.
“Jeremiah is a talented young player with a lot of upside,” Gutekunst said. “We’re excited to have him join our practice squad and see him develop further.”
Martin’s journey to Green Bay has been a winding one. Originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted free agent in may 2023, he was released following training camp. He then joined the New York Giants’ practice squad in January 2024 before being released in May.After spending training camp with the Browns once again, Martin now finds himself with the Packers.
Martin’s collegiate career saw him start at Texas A&M before transferring to Washington,where he truly blossomed. As a senior, he started all 13 games, captained the team, and earned first-team All-Pacific-12 honors from The associated Press.
With his impressive college pedigree and recent NFL experience, Martin has the potential to make a important contribution to the Packers’ defence. He will wear No. 51 for Green Bay.
