However, after the clashes, the military withdrew from the area without fully clearing the site, witnesses told Reuters. Following the military’s departure, settlers returned and attempted to breach the door of a Palestinian residence. Aysha Hassan, a resident of one of the three besieged houses, described the harrowing conditions inside the property. They tried to break the gate to the house, Hassan said, and started throwing stones at us, cursing and insulting us. We are dying of fear, extremely terrified.
