Panthers Celebrate Stanley Cup Win in Fort Lauderdale
Fresh off their Stanley Cup victory,the Florida Panthers,led by Aleksander Barkov,matthew Tkachuk,and Gustav Forsling,kicked off celebrations in Fort lauderdale. Barkov, arriving with the Stanley Cup in a police vehicle, told CBS Miami that a “three-peat is a very good possibility.”
The party started early Wednesday at the Elbo Room, a Fort Lauderdale beach bar, where the Panthers hoisted the Stanley Cup for cheering fans.Players even poured beer from the Cup onto the crowd below.
Tkachuk refrained from taking the Stanley cup into the Atlantic Ocean this year, a restriction put in place by the NHL after last year’s celebratory swim.
The city of Fort Lauderdale will host a championship parade Sunday, according to Mayor Dean Trantalis. the celebration is scheduled to begin at noon along Fort Lauderdale beach. An estimated 200,000 fans attended the 2024 parade.
