Celebrations of Paris Saint-Germain’s (PSG) Champions League title turned violent as riots erupted for a second night on the Champs Elysees in Paris. The unrest followed PSG’s victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final, leading to clashes between supporters and police.
Authorities deployed tear gas and baton charges in an attempt to control the crowds. Some rioters, described by one officer as throwing “everything they can,” were armed with metal poles and bricks taken from nearby construction sites. Videos showed cars caught in the chaos, with drivers urged to remain inside and lock their doors.
