Pasarela Jaén concluded its 37th edition, bringing together 18 local firms and businesses along Roldán y Marín street to showcase regional fashion, creativity, and craftsmanship. Organized by the association Pasarela Jaén, Comercio Jaén, and the Centro Comercial Abierto Las Palmeras, the event received backing from the Ayuntamiento de Jaén and the Junta de Andalucía.
Two-Day Showcase and Designer Challenge
The two-day event featured nine participating commercial brands and professionals each evening starting at 20:30 hours, according to event organizers Manuel Fontiveros and Rafael Moreno. The runway highlighted a wide range of apparel and accessories, including collections from Pilar Prieto, Opticalia Pro Roda complementos, Ramos y Relaño, Ana María Jiménez, Mulier, Marien Quiles, Alejandro Moda, Paycar’s Ceremonia, and Verónica y Jesús. Additional participants included Little King Niños, Pepe Milán, Cisne Púrpura, Aele Atelier, Paycar Sport, and José Perea. A central addition to this year’s schedule was a live designer challenge. Five creators selected from roughly ten submitted proposals competed by crafting an exact replica of a pre-sketched design from scratch within a one-hour time limit. A professional jury featuring José Perea evaluated the work, awarding the winner a 300-euro cash prize and guaranteed placement to present a capsule collection free of charge during the next installment of Pasarela Jaén.

Municipal Support and Economic Impact
Ayuntamiento de Jaén officials increased municipal funding for the 37th edition to expand opportunities for local clothing stores and enterprises. José Manuel Higueras, the city’s councilman for Economic Promotion and Commerce, emphasized that the initiative draws shoppers to the downtown core and drives foot traffic to commercial establishments.

José Manuel Higueras, Ayuntamiento de Jaén Higueras noted that the municipal strategy aims to support existing businesses, encourage new store openings in vacant retail spaces, and connect commercial activities with urban enhancements like the completion of nearby Plaza de la Constitución. Alongside Higueras, provincial and trade representatives including Javier Carazo, territorial delegate for Employment, Enterprise, and Work for the Junta de Andalucía, and Bruno García, general secretary of Comercio Jaén, participated in presenting the event details to the public.
