Paul Mescal Meets His Doppelgänger

Paul Mescal recently met his look-alike, who won a look-alike competition in Ireland. The actor was amazed to see the winner, Jack Wall O’Reilly, during an interview on Zoe Ball‘s BBC Radio 2 show.

Unlike Timothée Chalamet, who surprised fans at his own look-alike event in New York City, Paul did not attend this competition. However, he was aware of it and even saw a photo afterwards.

During the radio show, Paul praised Jack for capturing his spirit well. He expressed surprise when Jack’s name was announced and turned red from embarrassment. As they talked, they seemed to hit it off. Paul called Jack “nice and thoughtful” when Jack shared his hopes for Paul’s rest after a busy press tour.

Jack revealed he admires Paul, mentioning that “Aftersun” is one of his favorite films. He also expressed a desire to share his creative ideas with Paul in the future, thanking him for being an inspiration.

Paul appreciated Jack’s kind words, referring to him as an “absolute gentleman.” Look-alike competitions are becoming popular, with other celebrities like Zayn Malik, Dev Patel, and Jeremy Allen White inspiring similar events. Zendaya will also have a competition, but her attendance is uncertain.
