Ascot

He won his recent debut over hurdles at Plumpton by seven lengths. This race will be tougher, but he is a horse with potential and will benefit from the distance increase.

He is strong in his opening race of the season, excels at Ascot, and aims to win this Grade 2 Chase for the second time. The ground should suit him better this time.

He impressively won this Grade 2 race last year. His competition has proven strong since, making him a horse to watch. He has improved since starting training in July.

He struggled initially after arriving from France but found success switching to fences. He performed well recently at the Haldon Gold Cup and is ready to compete.

14:45 Ascot – Blueking d’Oroux
Pic d’Orhy is a strong contender in the 1965 Chase, but Blueking d’Oroux shows great potential, aiming for back-to-back wins in the Ascot Hurdle. His previous win against a top-level competitor adds to his credibility.
Blueking d’Oroux did not perform poorly in the Long Walk and appears ready for this challenge, especially when fresh.
Haydock

This is his first race of the season. He prefers soft ground and should perform well, but may improve with racing experience.

Bravemansgame’s performance depends on ground conditions. He works well in blinkers and has a possible Grand National entry later.

He won three times last season and thrives in deep ground. He is well-placed with a lower racing weight this season.
