Jakarta – Paula Verhoeven’s lawyer, Alvon, has stated that the actress faces difficulties meeting her children despite her estranged husband, Baim Wong, previously claiming there were no restrictions.
Alvon explained that while Verhoeven is not explicitly prevented from seeing her children, the habitat of those meetings is vastly different from a home setting.
“Meetings at Baim Wong’s office are very different from being at home. There are other adults present during these encounters,” alvon said during an appearance on the TransTV program “Rumpi” in Jakarta on Thursday.
He expressed concern that the office environment, which includes numerous toys and play areas designed for the children, could distract them from their mother.
“The office is like a playground, making the children feel comfortable there,” Alvon added.
He also highlighted the difference in parenting styles between mothers and fathers,suggesting that Verhoeven’s approach may be more structured than wong’s.
“Mothers ofen have more rules and boundaries to ensure the children’s healthy development,” Alvon explained.
He expressed hope that Verhoeven could meet her children in a more familiar and comfortable setting, such as their home.
Previously, Baim Wong had publicly stated that Verhoeven was free to see their children whenever she wished.
“She can see them anytime, sleep over, anything.It’s her children. She should just ask them,” Wong said during a press encounter at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday.
