Nostalgic Jello Salad and Life’s Simple Pleasures

Recently, I’ve been reflecting on the importance of simplicity and comfort in life. With the arrival of a friend, Ucchan, I’ve been reminded of the value of taking it easy and being considerate of others.

My friend Kayo-chan brought me some freshly caught fish, which became a delicious lunch on two occasions. I also made curry using Harumi Kurihara’s recipe, which turned out to be a great success.

Ucchan’s visit has also made me realize the importance of self-care and flexibility. While I usually go to bed around 1 am and wake up at 7:30 am, Ucchan’s early bedtime and wake-up time have encouraged me to be more considerate of our different schedules.

One of the simple pleasures in life is enjoying a cup of coffee, and I’ve found that making it a self-service experience can be quite liberating. By leaving the coffee beans out and allowing each person to make their own coffee, we can avoid unnecessary stress and discomfort.

As I’ve come to understand, being considerate of others and not worrying too much can be beneficial for both parties involved. It’s a valuable lesson that I’ve learned from Ucchan’s visit, and one that I’ll carry with me moving forward.

On a lighter note, my dog Rasta’s weight has been a topic of interest lately, and I’m happy to report that he’s currently at 3.4 kg.
