Government Offers 3% Discount to Companies with Timely Budget Debt Payments

Over 560,000 Companies to Benefit from the Initiative

The Minister of Public Finance, Marcel Boloș, has announced that more than half a million companies will receive a 3% discount on their profit tax and income tax for the year 2024. This initiative aims to reward companies that have paid their budget debts on time.

According to Minister Boloș, the 3% bonus will be given to companies that have paid their debts to the state on time, as a form of appreciation for their timely payments. This bonus can be used to offset other taxes and duties due next year.

A Permanent Initiative

Minister Boloș has expressed his intention to make this initiative permanent, turning it into a recurring form of gratitude for taxpayers who contribute to the stability and development of Romania.

The bonus will be calculated as 3% of the amount of profit tax due and paid in 2024, and for micro-enterprises, 3% of the amount of income tax. This bonus will be given automatically, without the need for companies to submit an application.

Government’s Commitment to Taxpayers

Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu had announced in September that the Government would adopt a project to give a 3% bonus to good payers and amnesty for interest and penalties to those with debts. This initiative is part of the Government’s commitment to optimizing the collection of tax revenue and using it correctly for the benefit of Romanians.
