Payment Freeze: 144 IPS Hit as NEW EPS Suspends Transactions Amid Soaring Filing Numbers
Protecting Health Resources: New EPS Implements Temporary Restriction on Additional Transfers
The aim is to protect health resources and ensure transparency in financial management, says the New EPS.
After conducting a thorough analysis of the account statements of more than 144 Public Health Provider Organizations, NEW EPS noted an increase in the amounts filed by these IPS. This has led to a temporary restriction on additional transfers to ensure transparency in financial management.
This measure seeks to protect health resources and ensure that payments are made in accordance with established guidelines and in the interest of the users of the health system. The main objective is to clarify and adjust the values filed, guaranteeing efficient management of resources and compliance with current regulations.
Julio Alberto Rincón Ramírez, Intervening Agent for the administration of NEW EPS, said: “This decision reaffirms the entity’s unwavering commitment to transparency and responsible management of resources. EPS NEWYDD works continuously to ensure that all resources are used efficiently, always with the aim of providing the best possible care to its members.”
Ensuring Transparency and Responsible Management
The temporary restriction on additional transfers will be maintained until the inconsistencies are resolved in the reconciliation tables already arranged and implemented between July 29 and September 13 this year. This preventive decision aims to ensure that resources allocated to the health sector are managed efficiently and in accordance with current regulations.
