Peaches Remixes Fuck The Pain Away For New Hellraiser Game
A Darker Evolution for a 2000 Electroclash Staple
The newly released collaboration strips away some of the original recording, which first appeared on Peaches’ acclaimed 2000 album The Teaches Of Peaches. According to Yahoo Entertainment, Pitchfork editors recently named the original track the greatest electroclash song of all time. This new adaptation pushes the music into heavier territory to mirror the sadism and visceral horror of Clive Barker’s fictional universe.
“With this rework of the track, it frames my song in a darker, more twisted world,” Peaches said in press materials cited by NME and Yahoo Entertainment. “‘Fuck The Pain Away’ is ever-expanding and now has new meaning in the Hellraiser universe. I’m in!”
Saber Interactive music director Steve Molitz produced the new version and praised the musician’s enduring creative ethos. “I’ve always admired Peaches for her fiercely unapologetic, provocative approach to personal expression,” Molitz stated in materials shared by Stereogum. “It was an honor to collaborate with Peaches and rework this iconic track, and we’re thrilled to finally unleash this beast on the world!” Molitz further characterized the composition as a raw, abrasive descent into a world blurring excess, compulsion, and distortion.
An NSFW Video and Immersive Horror Tie-In
Alongside the audio release, the production team dropped an explicit, NSFW music video. The visual companion pairs Peaches with stark imagery drawn from the violent, sexually charged cinematic and literary traditions of the Hellraiser franchise. The project marks a major crossover moment for the artist, blending her trademark performance style with horror iconography anchored by Bradley’s returning vocal narration.
The timing coincides with a busy active period for the artist. In March, Peaches released No Lube So Rude, her first full-length album in over a decade. That record subsequently secured a spot on the shortlist for the 2026 Polaris Music Prize, earning critical praise for challenging boundaries surrounding sex, aging, and queer rights.
