New York City Dad Wins Pedro Pascal Look-Alike Contest

George Gountas, a New York City father and lighting designer for “The Daily Show,” recently discovered his resemblance to actor Pedro Pascal has its perks. He won a Father’s Day look-alike contest, beating out more than 20 other contestants.
Gountas’ wife, who couldn’t bear to watch Pascal’s character die in “Game of Thrones,” as of the resemblance, unknowingly set the stage for his win. The grand prize included $50 and a year’s worth of burritos.

Tyler, a stage manager at “The Daily Show,” initially told gountas about the contest. Gountas said his wife was instrumental in his decision to participate. A stylist neighbor also provided styling assistance.
Despite some pressure from his older daughter to shave his mustache, Gountas plans to maintain his Pascal-inspired look for the time being. he describes himself as a private person who is enjoying the recent attention.
Gountas hopes Pascal will visit “The Daily Show” so his wife can meet him. He spent his $50 prize treating his family to ice cream in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood.
What’s next
Gountas said he intends to keep the mustache for a while, embracing his newfound role as a Pedro Pascal look-alike.
