The Baltimore County Police Department is urging residents near the Donnybrook Apartments in Towson to remain vigilant after receiving nine reports of Peeping Tom incidents since January, according to police spokesperson Trae Corbin.
The incidents involve men looking into apartment windows and potentially recording residents, with one student, Chloe White, telling WBAL TV 11 News that her security camera captured multiple instances of individuals peering through her bedroom window, including one incident on April 18 where a man looked through her window, then went up a hill behind the building and smoked a cigarette.
White said she has experienced these incidents at least five times and has installed alarms on her phone that alert her when someone walks by her window, adding that she frequently wakes up in the middle of the night to check her Ring cameras.
Police have confirmed they are investigating the reports and have increased patrols in the Towson area, particularly around the Donnybrook Apartments complex off Norwood Road, in response to the growing concern among residents.
Authorities are asking anyone with surveillance footage or information about the incidents to come forward and share it with investigators to assist in identifying those responsible.
