A collision involving a lorry ‍adn three passenger vehicles caused significant traffic congestion on the Tun Dr ​Lim Chong Eu Expressway near Kampung Batu ⁢Uban in Penang today, September 7, 2024. All four drivers involved in the‍ incident sustained onyl minor injuries. According to fire officials, the drivers of the othre vehicles – a 24-year-old ⁤operating a Nissan Serena, a 56-year-old in ‍a Perodua alza, ​and a 65-year-old driving a Proton Persona – were unharmed.

Members of the public were swift to⁤ assist those involved, helping them exit their vehicles before the arrival​ of emergency services. Firefighters from the Jalan Perak station arrived ‌on the scene at 1:40 PM and took over care of the lorry driver. They efficiently ‌cleared the resulting debris from⁣ the⁣ roadway, completing their operation by 2:24 PM.
