Penglipuran Tourism Village in Bali’s Bangli Regency will host a community sporting event titled the “PENGLIPU-RUN FUN RUN 2026” on Sunday, June 7, 2026. The event is designed to promote health tourism and strengthen the village’s reputation as a destination for nature-based and cultural tourism.
Organizers have set a target of approximately 500 participants for the event. The participant pool is intended to be diverse, including local residents of the village as well as visitors from outside the community.
The run will cover a distance of 5 kilometers. According to event organizers, the concept of the activity integrates sports, entertainment and nature tourism into a single experience to provide a unique offering for visitors to the region.
Route and Tourism Integration
The running route is planned to pass through several iconic locations within Penglipuran Village. A primary feature of the course will be the Penglipuran Bamboo Forest, which is one of the village’s most recognized tourist attractions.
I Wayan Sumiarsa, the Head of Penglipuran Tourism Village Management, stated on May 9, 2026, that the event is intended to introduce participants to the traditional cultural environment and natural atmosphere of the village.
Participants will not only run, but also enjoy the village atmosphere, cool air, clean environment, and additional attractions in the Penglipuran Bamboo Forest area
