▶ Outdoor advertising in LA and Ho Chi Minh ahead of Pepero Day

Continuing from last year, Lotte Well Food (formerly Lotte Confectionery) will run a large outdoor advertisement announcing Pepero Day in Times Square in New York, USA.

Lotte Well Foods announced on the 4th that it will show digital advertising on the huge screen of the TSX Broadway Building in Times Square from the 21st of last month to the 11th.

This is the second Times Square advertisement following last year, and this year, the scale is further expanded and the company is concentrating its capabilities on promoting the Pepero brand and Pepero Day in locations where locals and tourists gather the most.

The slogan of this advertising campaign is ‘Show your love with Pepero’.

The advertising video shows New Jeans, the Pepero brand ambassador, preparing for Pepero Day.

New Jeans members prepare Pepero while thinking of the person they want to convey their feelings to, such as family, friends, or neighbors, and write a message on the outside of the product with a happy expression.

Pepero’s brand outdoor advertisement was released in downtown Los Angeles (LA), Koreatown, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam ahead of Pepero Day (November 11).

It is expected to attract the attention of local consumers and tourists through outdoor advertising in places with the largest floating population in each region, such as LA’s Koreatown Plaza shopping mall and Ho Chi Minh City District 1 Rotary.

Pepero is currently exported to about 50 countries, including the United States, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. In the first half of this year, export sales amounted to approximately 32.5 billion won, surpassing domestic sales for the first time.

Starting in the second half of next year, Pepero’s first overseas production base, built with an investment of approximately 33 billion won at Lotte India’s Haryana factory, is scheduled to operate.

An official from Lotte Well Food said, “We are carrying out various promotions to help consumers in the global market better understand Pepero’s core brand value, ‘sharing,’” and added, “We plan to carry out various campaigns in the future to develop Pepero into a global mega brand.” He said.
