Several districts in Kedah are under alert, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, pokok Sena, Yan, Pendang, and Kuala muda. Residents in Pulau Pinang should also prepare for adverse weather conditions.
MetMalaysia issues these short-term warnings when thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20 millimeters per hour are either imminent or expected to persist for more than an hour.the warnings are valid for a maximum of six hours from the time of issuance.
