Peruvian President Boluarte Visits Indonesia to Strengthen Ties and Finalize Trade Agreement

Building on Previous Agreements and Recognition
This visit builds upon the momentum established during President Prabowo’s official trip to Lima in november 2024. During that visit, the two leaders explored avenues for strengthening cooperation and witnessed the signing of a bilateral agreement on visa-free travel for diplomatic and service passport holders, signed by Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono and his Peruvian counterpart Elmer Schialer salcedo.
Furthermore, President Prabowo was honored with the Grand Collar of the Order of the sun of Peru (Orden El Sol del Perú), Peru’s highest honor, recognizing his notable contributions to international relations and cooperation.

The Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono announced President Boluarte’s visit on August 6th, confirming that the Peruvian parliament had approved the trip.
