phaedra Parks Discusses Kandi burruss relationship and RHOA Return
Phaedra Parks recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live, offering insights into her relationships with former Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates and her thoughts on recent events in their lives. The reality star addressed her current dynamic with Kandi Burruss, Apollo Nida’s divorce, and the ongoing drama within the Atlanta social circle.
Parks, 51, acknowledged that while she occasionally encounters Burruss, 49, in Atlanta, their interactions are minimal. Asked about their dialogue, Parks admitted, “I don’t know if we do that,” suggesting a lack of engagement between the two.
During the WWHL: After Show, Parks responded to a fan’s question regarding Apollo nida’s divorce from Sherien Almufti. She confirmed the divorce is final and stated, “And I wasn’t surprised. Nope.”
Addressing the conflict between Shamea Morton, Porsha Williams, 43, and Drew Sidora, 40, Parks described the falling out between Williams and Morton as “unfortunate.” She expressed hope for reconciliation, saying, “I’m just praying that they can turn the corner because we’ve had some great times together, we really have, and I know they’ve had some great times. And we want to have fun.” Regarding the Shamea and Drew drama, phaedra felt Shamea “might have the stronger argument.”
Parks also confirmed her awareness of Charles Oakley, 61, dating Sheree Whitfield, 55, noting she knows Oakley from Atlanta. “charles is hilarious. I’d never met [Angela Oakley], but Charles is that guy. Charles is, like, a really good guy,” she said.
Reflecting on her return to RHOA, Phaedra said it was “cool” to reunite with Shamea. She mentioned their frequent interactions outside the show,including Shamea’s visits to her showroom and their collaboration on Will Trent.
Parks also recounted a recent encounter with Dr.Jackie Walters, 66, and Dr.Simone Whitmore, 58, at the NBCUniversal Upfronts in New York City. She assisted Walters with a fashion emergency, stating, “We connected as there was a fashion issue, and I was able to help Jackie out. Her zipper broke, and I know a lot about zippers and pinning things, so yeah, so we’re good.” She added, “[And] I just talked to [Dr. Contessa Metcalfe]. I talk to [Toya Bush-Harris] all the time, sweet Tea.”
Despite maintaining contact with some former castmates from Married to Medicine, Parks clarified that she did not watch the show’s reunion.
parks also shared that she is still dating the man who appeared alongside her on RHOA. “We’re definitely still hanging out. It’s nothing so serious. I’m just having fun. He’s a sweetheart. And very young. Thirty-one,” she said.
