Varone Returns to Familiar Territory
Forward Phil Varone has made a return to HK dukla Trenčín, the club announced on October 18, 2024. Varone previously played for Dukla Trenčín,and his return is expected to provide a meaningful boost to the team’s offensive capabilities.
Varone, 33, has extensive professional experience, including 138 NHL games played for the Ottawa Senators, Vancouver Canucks, and Philadelphia Flyers. He has also spent time in the American Hockey League (AHL) and various European leagues. His most recent stint was with Barys Nur-Sultan in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
Baptiste Adds NHL Experience to the Roster
Alongside Varone’s return, HK Dukla Trenčín has also added Nicholas Baptiste, another player with NHL experience, to their roster. Baptiste,a 28-year-old forward,has played 58 NHL games for the Buffalo Sabres and New Jersey Devils. He has also played in the AHL and European leagues.
