Ghazal El Mohalla Technical Director Praises Team’s Performance
Ghazal El Mohalla technical director Ahmed Id Abdel Malik commended his players’ performance against Al-Ismaili in the first round of the Egyptian league.
The match ended in a 0-0 draw at the Ismailia Stadium, with both teams showcasing impressive skills and determination.
Abdel Malik expressed his admiration for Al-Ismaili’s performance, stating, ”We played the match against Al-Ismaili at their home stadium well enough. Al-Ismaili players played with great performance and spirit, and those who come to Ismailia Stadium will suffer greatly.”
He highlighted the stability of his team, noting that five players from the previous season’s professional league participated in the match against Al-Ismaili.
Abdel Malik also praised Al-Ismaili’s defensive strategy, saying, “Al-Ismaili played with a defensive trio, which forced us to play with an attacking pair to press well. Ahmed Adel’s brilliance prevented us from scoring.”
The technical director emphasized the competitiveness of Egyptian football, stating, “The levels of Egyptian football are close, and there is no big difference. What makes the difference is tactical and technical work.”
Abdel Malik concluded by expressing his commitment to the team’s fans, saying, ”Our fans need support and help, and we promise to give them something positive with the existing name.”
This match marked the third goalless draw in the first round of the league, following El Gouna’s matches against Modern Sport’s NPP and Z.
Historically, matches between Ghazal El Mohalla and Al-Ismaili have been closely contested, with 8 out of 11 matches since the 2015-2016 season ending in draws, including 3 goalless draws.
