South African national team coach Hugo Bruce expects team player, Percy Tau to leave the ranks of his Al-Ahli side so that he can participate in more matches.

Bruce announced South Africa’s national team list at the conclusion of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in preparation for meetings with Uganda and South Sudan during the international break this November, which saw Tau absent.

Regarding Percy Tau’s reason for joining, Bruce said: “We know that Percy Tau doesn’t play with Al-Ahly, because he always sits on the bench.”
