The Philippines has implemented a new visa policy, effective June 8, 2025, allowing Indian nationals to enter the country visa-free for tourism purposes. The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi announced the initiative, aimed at boosting tourism and strengthening ties between the two nations.
Under this new Philippines visa policy, Indian citizens can stay for up to 14 days without a visa. To be eligible for this visa-free entry, visitors must possess a passport valid for at least six months beyond their intended stay. They also need to provide proof of confirmed hotel accommodations or bookings, demonstrate sufficient financial capacity, and hold a return or onward ticket to their next destination.
Furthermore, Indian nationals holding valid visas or residence permits from the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, the Schengen area, Singapore, or the United Kingdom receive extended privileges. These travelers can enter the Philippines visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days. The same passport and ticket requirements apply.
The embassy clarified that these visa-free privileges are applicable at any Philippine port of entry.However, the granted periods are non-extendible and cannot be converted to visa-based stays or other admission status categories.
