Philadelphia police are investigating a series of overnight shootings ⁢that resulted in two fatalities and injuries to two others. The incidents, ⁤spanning‍ from Friday night into Saturday morning, have heightened concerns about gun⁣ violence in the city.

The first shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. Friday on the 800 block of West Duncannon Street. A 40-year-old man was shot in the ⁣face and chest. He was transported by private vehicle to a hospital ⁣and is currently⁤ listed in stable condition, police said.

Early Saturday, at approximately 5:09 a.m., police responded to a shooting on the 5000 block of North Franklin Street. Medics‍ pronounced a man dead at the scene.

Minutes later, ⁤at 5:13 a.m., ⁢officers found another man shot at the intersection of Hunting park Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard. He was transported to ⁢a hospital but died shortly afterward, according to police reports.

The fourth victim arrived at a ⁣local hospital around 6:30 a.m., suffering from a gunshot wound sustained ‍on the 900 block of ⁤Rising Sun Avenue. He is in stable condition, police ⁣confirmed.
