This weekend, the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will implement closures and lane restrictions on various Phoenix-area freeways. Here are the key details for drivers:

Eastbound I-10
- Lanes: Reduced to two lanes (right lanes closed)
- Location: Between the I-17 “Split” near Sky Harbor Airport and US 60 (Superstition Freeway)
- Timing: 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Nov. 18)
- Impact: Expect on- and off-ramp closures in the area starting at 8 p.m. Friday. All east- and westbound I-10 ramps to eastbound US 60 will be closed. The southbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10 is also closed.
- Detour: Use eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) to southbound Loop 101 or westbound US 60.

Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway)
- Status: Closed
- Location: Between McQueen and Cooper roads in the southeast Valley
- Timing: 11:59 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (Nov. 16)
- Purpose: Sign structure removal for a widening project.
- Impact: Westbound Loop 202 HOV lane closed between Cooper and McQueen roads.
- Detour: Use Pecos or Germann roads.

- Status: Closed
- Location: Between Cooper and McQueen roads
- Timing: 11:59 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday (Nov. 17)
- Purpose: Sign structure removal.
- Impact: Eastbound Loop 202 HOV lane closed between McQueen and Cooper roads.
- Detour: Use Pecos or Germann roads.
- State Route 87
- Status: Narrowed to one lane in both directions
- Location: Between McDowell Road and Shea Boulevard in Fountain Hills
- Timing: 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 17)
- Purpose: Event preparations for Ironman Arizona.
- Impact: Westbound McKellips Road closed between Loop 202 and Alma School Road. Eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at McKellips Road is restricted.
- Detour: Use eastbound Shea Boulevard from Loop 101 in Scottsdale to SR 87 in Fountain Hills.
