Charles Davis Lewis, a 33-year-old Phoenix influencer, pleaded not guilty to federal charges of making false statements on his tax returns during a court appearance on May 13, 2026.
The court appearance follows an indictment issued by a federal grand jury in April 2026. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona, prosecutors allege that Lewis failed to report the full amount of income he earned through Forever Investments LLC.
Allegations Regarding Income and Social Media
Forever Investments LLC is an entity that produces and posts videos featuring Lewis across various social media platforms, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Arizona.

Prosecutors allege that Lewis failed to report an additional $807,142 in income for the 2020 tax year. The indictment claims that Lewis failed to report an additional $390,566 in income for the 2021 tax year to his tax preparer.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office alleged that instead of reporting these funds, Lewis stored the unclaimed money in a variety of accounts, including personal, business, and brokerage accounts, as well as cryptocurrency accounts.
Potential Penalties and Federal Context
If convicted of the charges, Lewis faces a maximum penalty of three years in prison. He also faces a potential fine of up to $250,000.
The indictment of Lewis comes after the Department of Justice launched the National Fraud Enforcement Division on April 7.
