Phoenix Unearths Original ‘Too Young’ Demo

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album, ‘United,’ Phoenix has shared the original demo of their hit song, ‘Too Young.’ the band marked the milestone with several new merchandise releases and the surprise demo-drop of the beloved track.
Phoenix posted an image of the original demo cassette on instagram, revealing that they recorded their demos over used yogurt commercial tapes found in a dumpster in Versailles. This glimpse into their early creative process offers fans a unique look at the genesis of “too Young.”
The band reflected on the song’s inclusion in Sofia Coppola’s film, Lost In Translation, noting that Coppola discovered their music through “Honeymoon,” which she favored.
In addition to the demo release, Phoenix has launched new merchandise, including a “Too Young” T-shirt available for pre-order and a T-shirt featuring the original ‘United’ cover art. Limited-edition ‘United’ posters, signed by all band members, are also available.
