Pilar Fogliati: Sanremo 2026, Epstein Files & Private Life Details
Pilar Fogliati is balancing the excitement of co-hosting the Sanremo Music Festival with the unsettling revelation of her name appearing in the Epstein Files. The actress is slated to take the stage at the Ariston Theatre on as co-host for the second evening of the festival, alongside Carlo Conti, Laura Pausini, Achille Lauro, and Lillo.
Fogliati, 33, is no stranger to Sanremo, having appeared last year to promote Paolo Genovese’s film, FolleMente. However, this year’s participation is shadowed by the unexpected surfacing of her name in connection with the controversial documents. According to reports, her name was mentioned in a message attributed to Eduardo Teodorani Fabbri, a connection Fogliati herself acknowledged with a palpable sense of distress. “I had the chills when I read the news, I prefer not to talk about it,” she stated.
Born in Alessandria but raised in Rome, Fogliati’s roots are firmly planted in the Italian capital. She honed her craft at the Silvio D’Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art, a foundational experience she credits with shaping her comedic timing and dramatic range. Her breakthrough role came with the Rai drama Cuori, set against the backdrop of 1960s cardiac surgery, which resonated with a broad audience.
Before Cuori, Fogliati demonstrated her versatility through roles in series such as Che Dio Ci Aiuti, Il Bosco, Un Passo dal Cielo, and Non dirlo al mio capo. She also gained viral attention for a social media video showcasing her ability to mimic the distinct accents of Rome’s various neighborhoods – a skill she later incorporated into her directorial debut, the film Romantiche.
Romantiche, for which she won the Nastro D’Argento award in 2023, is a testament to her multifaceted talent. She not only wrote and directed the film but also portrayed four different characters, each offering a unique perspective on contemporary Roman identity. The film highlights her “brilliant transformative ability and a strong comedic vein,” according to industry observers.
Beyond her acting and directing work, Fogliati has also appeared in Levante’s music video for “Leggera,” adding another layer to her artistic portfolio. Levante is also a competitor in the 2026 Sanremo Music Festival.
Fogliati’s personal life has also been the subject of recent attention. She is currently in a relationship with Fabio Paratici, the sporting director of Fiorentina. The couple’s relationship became public knowledge after being photographed together in Rome, confirming months of speculation.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Fogliati touched upon her views on motherhood, explaining that she has chosen not to have children, a decision she attributes to the experiences of her mother and grandmother. She also revealed that she recently ended a previous relationship and is now with Paratici.
The emergence of her name in the Epstein Files has understandably cast a shadow over her Sanremo appearance. The actress has expressed her discomfort with the situation, stating she doesn’t want to delve into the details. The circumstances surrounding her inclusion in the files remain unclear, and she has indicated a desire to avoid further discussion on the matter.
Despite the unwelcome attention, Fogliati is focused on her role as co-host, aiming to bring her energy and enthusiasm to the second night of the festival. She expressed her excitement about the event, describing the stage as “very rich” and stating she feels “charged up.” She also believes the festival’s diversity – encompassing fashion, music, and sentiment – offers a valuable lens through which to view Italy and the perspectives of young people.
