Pirelli to outfit 2026 Winter Olympics fleet
Pirelli, headquartered in Milan, will be the exclusive supplier of winter tires for the 2026 Winter olympics and Paralympics in Milan-Cortina, Italy. The agreement, announced Thursday, ensures the safety and efficiency of vehicle transportation during the Games.
The Italian tire manufacturer will equip the fleet of vehicles used to transport athletes, staff, and other personnel. In addition, Pirelli will provide roadside assistance along routes to the competition venues.
andrea Varnier, CEO of the 2026 winter Olympics organizing committee, emphasized the importance of the partnership. He saeid Pirelli’s products would make a “crucial contribution to the smooth running of the event.”
Pirelli CEO Andrea Casaluci said being an Olympic and Paralympic partner allows the company to showcase its winter products. He added that the Olympics are “a segment where Pirelli is a market leader.”
ITA Airways became the airline sponsor in mid-May. In late March,Italian public transport firm Ferrovie Nord Milano also signed on as a sponsor.
