The Apulia region of Italy is set to launch a pilot program in July, utilizing Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre‌ technology ‍to monitor ⁢road conditions. This initiative integrates real-time data from sensor-equipped tires with visual analytics from onboard ‌cameras,⁣ aiming ​to revolutionize road maintenance‌ and enhance⁤ public safety.

Pirelli’s Cyber Tyre⁤ features embedded sensors that track ​metrics such​ as temperature and pressure,⁤ communicating with the vehicle’s systems via ⁢Bluetooth. These durable⁢ sensors, powered by long-lasting‌ batteries, withstand forces exceeding 3,500⁣ G. ⁣Algorithms analyze road surface roughness,pinpointing areas needing repair.
