Small Plane Crashes at London Southend ​Airport, Emergency Services⁤ Respond

london Southend Airport was the scene of a ⁢serious incident ‍this afternoon as a small plane crashed on ⁣the premises.⁤ Emergency ⁣services are currently on site, and authorities​ are urging the public ⁣to‍ stay ‍away to allow them to carry out their work.

David Burton-Sampson⁤ MP, who represents the Southend West constituency, confirmed he was aware of the incident. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to ⁣share ‍his ​thoughts: “I am aware of an incident at⁢ Southend Airport. Please keep away and allow the emergency⁢ services to do their work.⁣ My thoughts are with everyone involved. 🙏🏽”

The ‌cause of the crash is not yet known, ⁤but initial reports indicate it‌ involved a small aircraft.

Matt Dent,Southend city Council’s cabinet member for buisness,culture,music and tourism,also commented on ⁤the situation via X. He stated, “I am aware of the live serious incident ongoing at London Southend Airport. ⁢At present all⁢ I know is that‍ a small⁤ plane ‌has crashed at the airport. ⁤My ‍thoughts are with all those⁣ involved, and with the emergency services ‍currently responding to the incident.”

Police, fire,‍ and ambulance services ‌are all present at the‌ scene, with the force confirming their continued presence. ‍Further details are expected to be released as ​the situation develops.
