Star Wars: Galactic Racer, an arcade-style racing game set in the Outer Rim after the fall of the Galactic Empire, is available to play for free on Amazon Luna for Amazon Prime subscribers. Developed by Fuse Games with former staff from the Burnout and Need for Speed franchises, the game arrived on the cloud-streaming service on October 6, 2026, coinciding with its worldwide launch.
Galactic League Racing Runs at 60 Frames per Second
According to Collider, the game puts speed, handling, and spectacular crashes at the center of its experience, earning a 9.5 out of 10 rating in their review. Players pilot landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders, and podracers through the unsanctioned Galactic League racing series, featuring a single-player campaign alongside Arcade, Scenarios, and PvP matches. Digital Foundry reported that the title runs at a smooth 60 frames per second on console hardware, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 features such as hardware-accelerated Lumen global illumination, Virtual Shadow Maps, and Nanite geometry meshes to handle reflections on puddles, ice, and streams.
Roguelite Campaign Features Sebulba as a Mentor
GameSpot noted that the title adopts a roguelite structure rather than a traditional single-player campaign. Players control Shade, a former racer turned cargo pilot seeking revenge against an arrogant champion named Kestar Bool, requiring users to win qualifier matches across multiple planets before facing rival racers. Inverse added that Sebulba, the Dugg podracer from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, returns to the franchise in the game as a first-act boss, a hub character, and a mentor to the protagonist.
Amazon Luna Streams Game to Multiple Devices
CNET reported that the game streams directly from Amazon’s servers to devices through Amazon Luna without requiring a dedicated console purchase or a local file download, though a strong internet connection is required. The service streams to Amazon Fire TV devices, PCs, Macs, Android and Apple mobile devices, and select smart TVs from Samsung and LG. Collider confirmed that the title is available to Prime members in eligible regions as part of Luna’s cloud library rather than as a permanent downloadable copy. CNET noted that mobile gamers can pair compatible hardware such as the Backbone One controller, which received a 20 percent discount during Prime Day, reducing its price to $64.
