Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has launched a new global marketing campaign, “It Happens on PlayStation 5,” designed to showcase the uniquely immersive and frequently enough surreal experiences offered by the PlayStation 5 console. The campaign emphasizes the unexpected and awe-inspiring moments that define modern gaming, according to Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President of Global Marketing at SIE.
“If there is one thing that gamers know after 30 years, it’s that they have been able to create jaw-dropping, heart-stopping moments throughout every generation of PlayStation,” Tomatis stated in a press release. The campaign aims to capture the emotional impact of these moments, from escaping monstrous creatures to performing seemingly impossible feats like landing a truck on a skyscraper.
Cinematic visuals and Surreal Scenarios
The “it Happens on PlayStation 5” campaign utilizes cinematic visuals and surreal scenarios to mirror the feelings gamers experience while playing. examples include a fishing crew reeling in an enormous sea creature under a glowing night sky and a fuel truck precariously balanced on a skyscraper spire. These visuals are intended to represent the “split-second spark when virtual worlds collide with reality,” as described by Tomatis.
