Plaza Las Américas is moving forward with its renovation plan, which includes new floors, additional parking spaces, and investments to improve electrical redundancy, as the shopping center prepares for its 58th anniversary.
The mall announced the upcoming openings and relocations of several stores to reinforce its position as the leading shopping destination in the Caribbean. Among the new stores set to open by the end of 2025 are Urban Planet, occupying a 41,185 square foot space in the La Terraza area, and Build-A-Bear Workshop, located next to the Aldo Collection on the first level between Macy’s and JCPenney.
Additional new openings include New Era Caps, positioned next to Naturalizer in the aisle between JCPenney and Macy’s; BedWell, located on the second level across from Banana Republic in the same aisle; Aristocrazy, an innovative jewelry concept opening across from the first-level JCPenney; and Churromanía and the new Sushi Ramen Bar, both situated in La Terraza—Churromanía next to Arby’s and the Sushi Ramen Bar between Subway and La Parrilla Argentina.
Several existing stores are also relocating within the mall. Torrid will open a new space on the first level of the corridor between JCPenney and Qué Pasta, while other relocations are underway as part of the broader effort to refresh the tenant mix and enhance the visitor experience.
