Pluto Security has emerged from stealth with $42 million in total funding, securing more than 1 million endpoints globally and building an inbound go-to-market engine supported by research and free resources, newsblaze.com reported. The company announced an approximately $34 million investment round led by Jump Capital, following an earlier seed round led by TLV Partners. Founded in 2025, Pluto reported reaching multi-million-dollar annual recurring revenue and serving more than 40 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt, AlphaSense, and Fortune 500 organizations, according to unite.ai.

Funding Rounds and Total Capital

The latest financing round brings Pluto Security’s total funding to $42 million, unite.ai reported. Jump Capital led the $34 million investment, while TLV Partners led the earlier seed round with participation from additional investors. Additional backers include Skinos, AlphaDrive Ventures, Ansa Capital, MTF, and individual investors such as Ariel Maislos, Yevgeny Dibrov and Nadir Izrael of Armis, Slavik Markovich of Descope, Asaf Ezra of Andreessen Horowitz, and Sharin Fisher Dibrov and Idan Tendler of Vine Ventures. The newly secured capital will support continued product development, ongoing security research, and expansion across the United States.

Community Tools and Distribution Strategy

Pluto built its commercial growth around free practitioner resources and security research rather than relying exclusively on direct sales. A central component of this strategy is Plutonium, a free AI supply chain security hub powered by the company’s proprietary RisksDB, which helps security professionals assess risks across components such as skills and extensions. Saaya Pal, partner at Jump Capital, stated that Plutonium addressed a gap in publicly available information because there was no good public data on what AI tools actually do inside enterprises, noting that hundreds of practitioners use the hub weekly and that most of Pluto’s sales pipeline now arrives inbound. Rona Segev, co-founder and managing partner at TLV Partners, added that the platform offers security teams a precise way to understand AI activity rather than simply blocking innovation.

Enterprise AI Workspace Security

The company operates in the emerging AI workspace security market, addressing environments where employees use tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cowork, Lovable, and Base44 to build applications, agents, automations, and workflows without traditional development teams. This shift expands the range of activity security teams must monitor, encompassing an AI supply chain that includes skills, extensions, packages, Model Context Protocol servers, models, and dependencies. Pluto’s platform combines endpoint visibility, contextual analysis, and real-time enforcement to block malicious skills, restrict unsafe agent actions, and prevent unauthorized access to sensitive data without stopping legitimate work. CEO and co-founder Shahar Bahat explained that the product is designed to understand user intent and give security teams the context to enable work safely rather than exclusively blocking actions.

Founding Team and Product Scaling

Shahar Bahat founded Pluto alongside Tal Ofer Regev and Gil Maman, drawing on professional backgrounds spanning Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, Bridgecrew, and Israel’s Unit 8200. Bahat previously held senior cybersecurity leadership roles at Microsoft and Palo Alto Networks, and Regev served as vice president of research and development at Palo Alto Networks managing more than 150 people. Maman spent over six years in Israeli Military Intelligence in technical leadership roles spanning advanced cyber research and security engineering. The company has grown to more than 50 employees across the United States and Israel while securing more than 1 million endpoints globally.
