Modi Outlines 11 Action Points for Parliament in Constitution Day Address
New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a thorough address to Parliament on Constitution Day, outlining 11 key action points for lawmakers to focus on in the coming months.
BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi praised the Prime Minister’s speech, calling it “enlightening” and “a kind of guidance for all of us.”
“He spoke to all the members of Parliament in the Lok Sabha for more than 1.5 hours,” Sarangi said. “This was a very enlightening speech. It was a kind of guidance for all of us.”
The Prime Minister’s address followed two days of debate on the Indian Constitution, which was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on November 26, 1949.
“The Indian Constitution has been the lighthouse,” Sarangi noted.She emphasized that Modi’s message was not limited to members of the ruling NDA coalition.
“The Prime Minister is the Prime Minister of the entire contry,” Sarangi stated. “So when he spoke, whatever he said, whatever directions he gave, these directions were meant for all the members of Parliament from all across the political parties.”
According to Sarangi, the Prime Minister’s overarching goal was clear: “to follow the provisions of the Constitution and to see that we emerge as one of the fastest growing economies.”
