A leak from POCO Belgium’s official website has revealed details about the upcoming POCO X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max smartphones, including European pricing and specifications. The promotional page, which was briefly live on February 7, 2026, was quickly taken down, but not before screenshots captured key information about the devices.

The X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max are expected to be rebranded versions of existing Redmi devices, continuing POCO’s established strategy of leveraging hardware developed for the Chinese market and releasing it globally under its own brand. Specifically, the X8 Pro appears to be a rebadged Redmi Turbo 5, while the X8 Pro Max will likely be the Turbo 5 Max.

Specifications and Key Features

The POCO X8 Pro will feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1268 x 2756 pixels. The display boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, a 3840Hz PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for flicker reduction, and a peak brightness of 3500 nits. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, a chip known for its performance and thermal efficiency.

On the camera front, the X8 Pro will include a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 20MP front-facing camera. POCO appears to be prioritizing image quality over quantity of lenses, a decision that often yields better real-world results.

The X8 Pro Max steps up the specifications with a larger 6.83-inch display, maintaining the same refresh rate, PWM, and brightness characteristics as its smaller counterpart. The key upgrade lies in the processor: the Dimensity 9500s, which offers a significant performance boost over the Dimensity 8500 found in the X8 Pro. This processor difference is the primary justification for the price gap between the two models.

Battery capacity varies depending on the market. While initial reports suggested potential capacities of up to 9000 mAh for Chinese versions, the data for international markets indicates more conservative figures. The X8 Pro is expected to ship with a 6500 mAh battery, while the X8 Pro Max will feature an 8500 mAh battery, adhering to current safety regulations.

Both models will support 100W fast charging, enabling a full charge in approximately one hour. This, combined with the efficient processors manufactured on a 4nm process, suggests the potential for two days of battery life with moderate usage. This could address a common pain point for smartphone users – the need for daily charging.

European Pricing Details

The POCO X8 Pro will start at €399.90 (approximately $415 USD) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. The 512GB storage variant will be priced at €449.90 (around $467 USD), and the top-end model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost €479.90 (approximately $498 USD).

The X8 Pro Max will command a higher price tag, starting at €529.90 (roughly $550 USD) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Upgrading to 512GB of storage will increase the price to €579.90 (around $602 USD), while maintaining the same 12GB of RAM. Both devices will be available in three colors, though the specific shades have not yet been officially confirmed.

POCO has not yet announced an official launch date, but the timeline suggests a release between late February and mid-April. The Redmi Turbo 5 was launched in China in late January, and POCO typically releases global versions six to eight weeks after the Chinese launch.

POCO continues to focus on delivering solid hardware at competitive prices, without venturing into the flagship territory. Starting at €399 (approximately $430 USD), the brand aims to attract consumers who want a capable smartphone without the premium price tag. If the battery life lives up to expectations, the X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max could become strong contenders in the mid-range segment.
