Al-Shabaab Club Aims for Quick Return of Daniel Podens
Al-Shabaab club’s medical team is working diligently to expedite the return of Portuguese soccer player Daniel Podens, a key first-team player, in time for the sixth round of the Saudi Roshan League against Damak on October 4.
According to personal sources, the medical staff is taking extra precautions to ensure Podens’ safe and swift return to the pitch, minimizing the risk of further injury.
Initially, the club management announced Podens’ absence for three weeks following medical tests that confirmed a muscle injury. However, the medical team is now working to accelerate his recovery.
Before the injury, Podens, 28, had been actively training with his teammates and engaging in individual exercises with the ball. The Portuguese star was signed during the summer transfer window.
Al-Shabaab has two upcoming matches, against Al-Khuloud in the 32nd round of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup at Al-Hazm Club Stadium next Tuesday, and against Al-Raed next Sunday in the fifth round of the league. The medical team is racing against time to prepare Podens for these crucial games.
