2024 Public Hygiene Service Evaluation in Pohang-si, Gyeongbuk
Improving Hygiene and Service Levels in Public Hygiene Businesses
The Buk-gu Office in Pohang-si, Gyeongbuk will conduct the ‘2024 Public Hygiene Service Evaluation’ from September 24th to October 8th. This evaluation aims to enhance the hygiene and service levels of public hygiene businesses.
Evaluation Objectives and Targets
Public hygiene service evaluations are conducted every two years by industry to improve hygiene and service levels in public hygiene businesses. This year’s evaluation targets 348 public health businesses that have registered for business by December 31, 2023, in accordance with the Public Health Management Act. These businesses include:
186 accommodation businesses
46 bathhouses
116 laundries
Evaluation Items and Criteria
The main evaluation items are 26 to 29 items in 3 areas:
- General status
- Compliance items
- Recommendations
Scores are awarded according to the evaluation item table through on-site verification. Depending on the evaluation score, businesses are classified into:
Green grade (90 points or higher)
Yellow grade (80-90 points)
White grade (less than 80 points)
Recognition and Incentives
The green grade will be announced on the city hall website and in all cities and counties nationwide. The best 10% of green grade businesses will be selected to receive awards, signboards for excellent businesses, and incentives.
